My Canon Powershot SX510 HS

I chose this camera for two reasons. First I wanted something fairly light and compact for hiking and backpacking. Second I wanted a camera with a decent zoom. This camera, in my opinion, delivers both. As well as these two main features, of course, I also wanted a camera that could deliver good quality photos. For my purpose, I was not looking for really high end. But, nonetheless, good enough quality.

This camera was used to create many of the photos and videos on this website. I am very happy with it so far.

However, I found that it is definitely worthwhile getting a second/ backup battery. So I picked up another Canon LB-6LH.

There's plenty of information about this camera out there so I won't bore you with the details. But I did research a fair number of cameras in this class of camera and this one did come out pretty good. Anyway, here's a link to Canon's U.S. site on the details Canon U.S. Site Here
